I went to the doctor and found out I have acid reflux which is causing the sore throat I've had for the last ten months. The cure is to take a kind of pill called a Proton Pump Inhibitor like Prevacid twice a day for six months. He said it will take three months for the throat to heal but it already feels better after taking just three pills. Yesterday morning before I went to the doctor it was really bothering me. It sort of wears you down after a while.
Yesterday I got stuff printed out for writing group, four days early, and it felt good. I'm always printing at the last minute. I do have some little changes to make, though, so I'll probably be printing out at least part of it again.
