It was great to see Ryan last night. He's thinking of buying an investment property here in Austin, as they're so expensive in California. He lives in Santa Barbara and supplies doctors with the technology they need to replace hips and other joints. His job requires him to attend surgeries to be there if there's any problem or question. His girlfriend Bevin is taking prereqs to be a nurse and is in Dissection Lab. So between the two of them I know they have some interesting stories.
Allergies still on the offensive. I'm hoping I will survive sleeping in a tent in a field. My allergies are mainly to trees and grasses. I'm going to wear my Renaissance wedding gown to the Renaissance fair on Saturday. It's pretty elaborate to get on what with the corset and the hoop and the bodice and all that but it will be fun to wear it again. William is going to have to be my gentleman-in-waiting and help me put it on. I can't do it myself. The corset alone takes a while. It's just like that scene from Gone with the Wind.
I'm bringing another dress to wear to the bonfire on Friday night as I don't want the other one getting all smoky. It's very easy to get on as you just whip it over your head. It's more of a Guinevere style. It would have been much easier to get around in those types of dresses than the more elaborate Elizabethan ones.
It's time to start getting ready, as we leave today at 2. I find it hard to believe I'll be at the bonfire tonight. This is the first fair William and I went to together, though not as a couple. It was the following fair, Excalibur, where we fell for each other.
