The Weekend

Today is a blustery day. I expect to see Piglet flying by any moment. I couldn't sleep last night and finally went down to the guest room early this morning as I was too warm upstairs. I got a few hours sleep at last. Then when I woke up and came back upstairs it was freezing up here. The electric heater is on but it's not doing much so far.

William and I had a busy weekend. We had his WeAreTeachers get-together on Saturday, where they served gumbo and beignets. Following that we went directly to Carolyn and John's baby shower. They opened presents and we played games and had fun. William played Pictionary for the first time. Our team was on a roll. Out of twenty pictures we only missed "heat."

On Sunday we got up and started decorating some more. William put lights on the second story and I cleaned the living room to get it ready for the tree. Now the tree is set up but doesn't have any decorations on it yet. Sunday evening we had dinner over at Wren and Anthony's. Elijah and Wren came in all dressed up from the meeting and Elijah looked like a little British sports car enthusiast with his little English heather cap and tan vest. He calls his pirate hat his "Arrrr" hat. We gave him one of those rolled up blower toys you get at New Year's and he figured out out to blow it out straight, with a little tutelage from Anthony.

Today I have PT (three times this week). I got six new books from Half-price Books so I have plenty to read again.
