Bummed by sore throat and irritating-in-retrospect midwife visit this morning. Because of a couple of minor issues I'm having she assumed a couple of things and gave me a lecture on what to do instead of first finding out what I'm already doing. Everything's going well with the baby and the pregnancy in general. Sometimes I wish I'd just shut up in doctor's appointments and say "everything's fine."
Is it normal to be irritated by the presence of exes on Facebook, or is that an eight-and-a-half-months-pregnant kind of reaction? Maybe it's all a matter of degree.
Is it normal to be irritated by the constantly flashing little light at the corner of one's laptop? Flashing lights, or little indicator lights in general, do not rub me the right way. I noticed William covered up a little indicator light on our air cleaner with a piece of black tape, probably because I was alway draping things over it. Which he did without telling me and which was very sweet. A little piece of black tape might do fine for the laptop. Maybe I could put little pieces of black tape on every indicator light in the house. It's the little things, people.
I had another excellent massage yesterday by Anne. I'm going to try to squeeze one more in before the Big Day. Also, the pool is perfect. Swimming is the best. I got my antenatal swimsuit in the mail yesterday so now I'll have something to shoot for. I guess the kinda-ugly Speedo I got at Costco quite a while ago will be my transition suit.
Getting up, lying down, bending over to pick something up, going up or down the stairs, making the thousandth trip to the bathroom, and moving around in general anywhere but in the pool is becoming taxing and tiring. Plus I drop things I'm holding three times as much so there's more stuff to pick up. Dropped two blueberries in succession this morning. On the second one I said to myself, "I do not care if that blueberry is on the floor." Blueberries might not be the things to become stubborn about. I wouldn't call it painful exactly to lean over, but the pressure is mightily uncomfortable.
Feel rather useless in general today. I guess I'm doing okay on growing the little human, but that's about it.
